The final piece of the puzzle before the students submit their final proposals for the competition is a heart-felt, down-to-earth discussion with a guest speaker who has actually gone through the challenges, seen the opportunities, worked out the problems, and arrived on their path to make the world a better place. During the Human Migration Forum, we were fortunate enough to hear from Ms. Ayda Zugay, a trailblazer refugee from former Yugoslavia. We couldn't thank Ayda enough for the difference she made with these young minds!
Then students then have a chance to also turn their knowledge and skills of reflection, communication and cooperation into reality, by establishing a BWB Club in their schools and implementing Local Actions for Global Goals.
Today we will wrap up the spotlighting series with Team Keen Kiwis, which focused on the migration challenge and potential solutions in New Zealand. The teammates are:
Issy Wrigley - Bryanston School (UK)
Nam Anh Ha - Australian International School (Vietnam)
Ayushi Jha - Chirec International School (India)
Carmen García Pérez- Los Sauces European School (Spain)
To get more insight, they interviewed Charlie Betti, a fellow Forum participant who is a Māori from Waitakere College. What could be the challenge for one of the happiest countries in the world?
