Vote for the Best BWB Club - Spotlight on Towheed in UAE

As we wrap up the school year 2024-2025, we are happy to report that hundreds of international dialogues have taken place in BWB to identify our common goals and improve our mutual understanding. As you must see, it is vital that we bring positivity and open-mindedness to the world, one friend at a time.

Throughout the year, BWB Club members have opportunities to participate in Global Chats, Club Meet-ups, SDG Interest Groups, and implement local action projects that are based on SDGs. Students' participations earn them membership certificates, seats on the LI BWB International internship teams, and points for their clubs to receive a club scholarship for the following year.

Here is an opportunity for you to chime in and help recognize the efforts of these amazing teens. Everyone is invited to vote for the Best BWB Club 2024-2025.  Please click on the link and review the year-end reports from the Top Five scoring clubs:

Today, we would like to shine the spotlight on the top-scoring club of the year: TISD BWB Club in the UAE.

The BWB Club at Towheed Iranian School is led by students Pouya Mortezaei and Huda Zahra.  Ms. Negin Saadat, the IB CAS Coordinator, moderates the club. "This year, our club focused on caring for the environment. We found fun and creative ways to get our school involved in helping the planet. One of our favorite moments was Earth Day. We teamed up with Grade 5 to reuse plastic bottles in creative ways. The younger students had a great time and learned why recycling matters. We also ran a design challenge where students used recycled materials to build models inspired by the UAE, showing that being eco-friendly can also be fun and creative. We didn’t stop at recycling. Club members planted trees as a way to help the planet long-term. It was a simple but powerful reminder that small actions can make a big difference. We also tried sustainable cooking! Using local, organic ingredients, we made meals that were both good for us and the environment. It was a great way to learn and enjoy working together. Even younger students joined in. We made games and fun challenges out of recycled items like bottle caps and paper cups. It helped teach them to care for the Earth while also thinking creatively. All these activities brought us closer as a club and showed us that helping the environment can be meaningful, hands-on, and fun."
