Why Me? Why Now?
A Bit of Background
To me, everyday represents an opportunity to pursue purpose and happiness, even in the time of global pandemic or personal crisis. I recognize deeply how I live today is how I live my life.
The awakening for me to bring Global Education Destinations to life came in late Spring 2020 - sensing my ailing mother in Taiwan needed me, my colleagues in the USA at a loss with what to do with the international students, and the whole world in turmoil with difficult moral and political decisions, I decided to create the future I want instead of sitting back and see what happens.
I was an international student myself, spending years pursuing my MA at the University of Maryland and then my MBA at Johns Hopkins University. After hosting travel TV shows in Taiwan, I helped Discovery Channel launch in China. Followed by my ownership of a local Dream Dinners franchise, I created the Global Programs at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Maryland. I felt it in my heart that it was time to answer my new calling.
Drawing from my childhood dream of living in a borderless world, and building on my experience of international communication, blessed with all the amazing smart people I have come in contact with, Global Education Destinations was born out of sheer imagination, passionate words and the kind support of fellow believers.
Where we end up depends on us. I hope to see you on this journey of pursuing a life of purpose and happiness.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Yihung Mohs
