IB + SDG = Global Citizenship

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting thousands of IB educators during the Global Conference in San Diego. This week I am in Taiwan working on our next Buddies Without Borders Online Forum, framing our next discussion around the challenges of food insecurity and food waste. Meanwhile, I am trying to encourage the current participants to be the change they want to see - from local actions to global sensitivity.

It is a privilege to learn alongside students across the world, but it is far easier to study data and cases than to really care for someone we may never meet. How do we create real connections behind screens and masks? Behind political correctness and misinformation?

As we get ready for a new school year, I hope to see more project-based learning based on Purpose, Action and Communication.
