Genuine Kindness - BWB Club Spotlight on Redwood High School, USA

American poet and civil rights activist Maya Angelou famously wrote: “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”


Genuine kindness towards others is what makes this BWB Club special. Lucille Wong Ryniejski earned her Pioneer Award to launch her club not just because of her excellent academic performance, but also because of her amazing kindred spirit that shone through while connecting with her teammates across the world. When she introduced BWB into her new school at Redwood, it was natural for her club members to bond and grow. The Redwood club, including Chloë Philippart, Emma Larson, Taylor Chang, Hannah Ritola, Georgia Bender, Lucille Wong Ryniejski and Gillian Jambeck, has decided to tackle women's health rights issues, especially those in the homeless community.


We can't wait to see how the Redwood BWB Club will bring genuine kindness into their community in the coming months!
