After we put students from different corners of the world on the same team, we then assign them with yet another country to represent. This way, no one is already an expert and everyone learns from the same starting point. Furthermore, this allows the students to be as objective as possible, and obtain sources of information from all over the world, and not just what's covered in the local's media and textbooks.
Today we will train our spotlight on Team Cactus Voyager, which focused on the migration challenges and potential solutions in Mexico, The teammates are:
Kaori Minowa - Shonan Shirayuri (Japan)
Kingston Yu - Pacific American School (Taiwan)
Anav Raju - Dougherty Valley High School (CA, USA)
Charlie Betti - Waitakere college (New Zealand)
The team was also able to get insight from their fellow Forum participant, Mafer Ortiz Sánchez, who is a Mexican citizen. Click here to see the team's research and ideas. Good luck to Team Cactus Voyager. The winning team will be announced on September 5!
