Fun and Funds - Wellness Ideas for Teens in Egypt

Updated: Apr 25, 2022

Team Project Peace took on the wellness challenge for teens in Egypt and found that sufficient funding is sorely needed to create resources for teens when it comes to mental health.

The team's proposal calls for students to coordinate events across different schools such as community bake sales, movie nights, sports competitions and more. The funds will then be used to create job programs for teens. The team hopes that such a grassroots effort will attract support from the local government and beyond:

"Students may... spread ideas to other schools in a region, and it can reach administrative and student bodies in education. This will allow for more event venues and participation, resulting in greater revenue and funding. If attention is gained this way, local governments may be able to sponsor events and advertise."
