While social media is a go-to solution for many teams, Team "Smells Like Teen Spirit" decided to go the other way for their assigned country: China. The team has found that there is a multitude of values and practices in China that are working against mental health for teens. Therefore the team decided to focus on changing the attitude through an awareness campaign and workshops, conducted by trained traveling social workers:
"...Their job is to visit schools ... to spread mental health awareness, how that correlates with moral behavioral guidelines ... and how this will impact them positively in society...With time, delegates can grow their team and expand into public conventions where they can distribute flyers and talk to wider audiences."
