Dr. Teta Banks Kicks Off Coexistence Forum

While the world increased its military spending for the ninth consecutive year (The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, April 2024), teen representatives from more than 20 countries will get together to discuss the concept of coexistence and brainstorm ways to pursue change peacefully in today's world. Each team is assigned a peace activist to study as inspiration for ideas and messages for a better tomorrow.

Leading the participants in their thought process is our opening speaker, Dr. Teta Banks.

The Honorable  Dr. Teta V. Banks is a diplomat, educator and human rights advocate. Her parents were civil rights colleagues of Dr. King and Mrs. Rosa Parks.   Dr. Banks is the first woman of African descent to be elected as Chair of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) and previously as Chair of the United Nations Association- USA. She is also Vice-President of the Council of Organizations, and President/Founder of The International Forum, Inc. The International Forum, established in 1988, is a leading educational and corporate consulting organization that provides training, analysis, research, speakers' series, curriculum development, and educational international experiences throughout the world. It has collaborated with corporations, government agencies, and NGOs to advance the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.

Please join us in wishing the participants in the Buddies Without Borders Online Forum Coexistence: Case Study on Peace & Change good luck in the upcoming competition for the best idea and most compelling presentation!
