Throughout the school year, BWB Clubs worldwide designed actionable community service projects to meet the Sustainable Development Goals that resonate the most with them. From helping the less fortunate to tutoring the children, Club students practice coordination skills, time and cost management, and most importantly, what it means to think globally and act locally, and how important it is to follow through.
Based on each Club's global engagement with their fellow BWB buddies, the Top Ten Clubs were chosen. Their Local Action Projects are now showcased on the Voting page for your recognition. Please vote for your favorite Local Action Project based on its creativity, sustainability and equality by clicking on "like." The club that receives the most "likes" by July 21 will receive the People's Choice Award for the year. For details on how BWB Clubs work and where we are around the world, check out the BWB Clubs page.
Thanks to Dr. Schlais, the Curriculum Manager for Psychology and CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) at International Baccalaureate Organization, for coming yesterday and helping us to announce the Top Ten Clubs!
The next opportunity for global-minded teens to step forward and meet new international collaborators is open now. Successful participants will be invited to launch their own BWB Clubs in the new school year. Join us in the summer Buddies Without Borders Online Forum to investigate the global water crisis. Contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to working with ALL teens to make the world a better place.
