Many students from the graduating high school class are preparing for college this Fall. Developing soft skills such as planning, time management, communication, and collaboration is crucial for their readiness for higher education. We are pleased that our participants have the opportunity to practice these skills through the Buddies Without Borders Online Forums.
Here is a reflection from Karthik Anumolu, a member of The Best Team in the Power for a Better Future Online Forum competition:

"This forum was inspiring and motivating. Through this forum, I feel I have gained more consciousness about the environment and the need for sustainability. I have diversified my knowledge in relation to environment and the judicious use, especially in small implementations in mine and my families day to day life. Working with people across the globe, it helped me take in widely varying opinions, perspectives, and interpretations, compared to participating in my own country. It also adds a crucial part in my college application. Working on group presentations also helped me learn team management, and completing them before global sessions and meeting deadlines helped me with time management especially in hard cases like when I had my final exams. Working on specified portfolios helped me gain knowledge regarding how to structure your research and present it. My fellow mates were very supportive. I had a session where I could not make it as I was sick. They covered for me in the presentation. I had a great experience in this forum and I'm waiting to attend more of these!"
Please join us in wishing Karthik Anumolu and all incoming university freshmen a wonderful university journey ahead!
