Congratulations to Mrs. Kearney! Global Educators of the Year

Many youths want to change the world, but their success often depends on the support and guidance of a caring advisor. As we wrap up the school year, we would like to highlight the educators who have gone above and beyond to help global-minded teens to connect their passion with action.

Mrs. Kearney's devotion to serving her school and her students has been apparent from the first day of our collaboration. The BWB Club participants at Bryanston collected unopened snacks from the boarding students at the end of the winter break to donate to a local food bank. This project not only helped the less fortunate but also reduced waste in the dormitories.

"We are very new to the Buddies Without Borders family and are still developing and growing. For those pupils who have been involved in the club, and also individual forums, it has been inspiring to see the way they have worked together to plan, organise and achieve their goals.

As the first BWB cohort leave the school, I am honoured to have been able to assist them on their path to becoming true global citizens as they go on to continue their studies at universities around the world. As we move forward, I hope more pupils become inspired by all that BWB offers and take their place in the global community. The importance of providing opportunities to work with others and exchange ideas with like-minded young people around the world cannot be underestimated and BWB is a remarkable organisation in the way it facilitates this – a true ‘force for good’! "

All around the world, Buddies Without Borders students are conducting Local Actions to meet Global Goals. Vote for your favorite project - Your vote acknowledges the efforts of the youth who have worked hard to help make the world a better place.
